We have an array of ministries to help you REACH UP, REACH IN, and REACH OUT.

Nursery Team

The nursery ministry is where the youngest among us are held with warm and loving hearts. It is a place they can play and start to learn about Christ's love for us all. The nursery team is always there to help you have the best Worship, Praise and Ministry experience possible.

If you have a nurturing heart and a love for infants and young children this ministry can benefit from your spiritual gifts. See Gwen Shivers to join one of the rotating nursery ministry positions.

Children's Ministry

Parents are the most important influence in any child's life. We want to help you guide your little ones into the life God has for them.

Children's Bible study every Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

Since it's important for your children to see you worship and learn to worship with you, you are invited to bring them with you for the music portion of the worship service each Sunday. Afterward, children ages 3-7 are invited to attend Children's Church.

Children's Bible Study - Also known at Team Kid on Wednesday nights!

Student Ministry

"The Oasis" is a College and Young Adult group that meets regularly at 9:30am Sundays. A place of spiritual growth and exploration amidst a world of chaos. Come for the coffee and conversation, stay for the impromptu worship, philosophy and camaraderie.  A great place to bring your new best friend.

Each Wednesday Youth and College groups gather together to reset our minds and hearts towards the Father. This is our time to reconnect as a group, meet new people and develop our spiritual tools.

Women's Ministry

Men's Ministry

Small Groups

God created us to live in community, to be part of each other's lives.  We are meant to encourage and pray for one another, to study God's Word together.  Sometimes we even need to carry each other when the road gets too hard. This is the kind of community we strive for at MCBC. Come be a part of it.

  • Sunday mornings at 9:30 at MCBC. Bible study for all ages.
  • Sunday night Huddle Group at 5:00pm

Our locations and timing and format vary from home to home and special events.  Contact [email protected] or 281.316.2622 for more information.

Worship Ministry

If you are interested in being part of the worship team whether working with computer, sound and lighting equipment in the booth, or sharing your gifts as a musician or vocalist in the band please click the contact button above and share your talents with the Church body.

Community Outreach

After Biblical Teaching, MCBC's most profound impact to the community and congregation is through outreach events. Become a part of the team that plans and encourages Church and community events and ministries. We let the Holy Spirit lead while taking steps of faith and discovering what is possible when we collectively use our spiritual gifts together for God's glory.

Including: Spring festival, Fall festival, Love My Neighbor, Operation Christmas, Caroling, Feasts, Run for health, Community Garden, and more. See April Mixon about including your spiritual gifts in ways that will just make you say wow!

Everyone want's a place to belong and feel loved. That journey starts the moment someone arrives at MCBC and never stops. The Greeters ministry meets people where they are, listens to their needs and helps direct them in the right directions.

Church Grounds Improvements

Contact one of the deacons or Cecil Rutherford to use your physical talents within the Church maintenance and improvement team. The Church property needs regular mowing and weed control. But there are other needs:

  • Electrical and lighting maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain and improve the forested prayer trails in the back of the property.
  • Keep Laura's cross area of the property maintained.
  • Upkeep of the church sanitary sewer and grinder system.
  • Carpentry maintenance repairs and improvements.
  • Community Garden improvements.
  • Parking lot maintenance.
  • Special events teams.

Community Garden

We are a catalyst for community development; and a stimulus for healthy social interaction. We encourage education and sustainable vegetable cultivation using organic methods. We invite our community to get involved, volunteer, garden, learn, teach, and grow this project where there are only winners.  Contact: Siok Hong Chen-Sabot 713-705-5391

The 4th Friday of each month is Community Gardening Day. Look at the church Calendar or Church Events for more details.

Run For Health

David Sabot was saved by Jesus through a set of miraculous circumstances. As part of his gratitude he started the Run For Health ministry. All proceeds of this event will go to Anchor Point, which is a key Christian community resource that delivers hope to families including pregnant teens and women, babies on the way, troubled youth and their families, foster and adopted children, and families considering adoption.

David is always looking for both athletic and non-athletic volunteers year round to help in setting up this community ministry. Ask David about how Jesus saved his life. For More information and registration/volunteering:
